This is an excellent example of well-written code bounding into the future.
I am using
XJDIC as a
backend. It was written for kterm, an X terminal program. It has two features:
stand-alone version and client-server version. The client-server version
allowed me to write a PHP client for it, allowing it to act like a web service.
Now, not only is the dictionary web-based, the only person who has to compile
or install the program is the server admin, me. Everyone else gets access to
the dictionary without any work.
